Ningbo City Sports Facilities Special Plan was officially announced in the city exhibition hall, City Planning Bureau and Sports Bureau after being examined by the conference. This plan involving the public interest came out and immediately attracted the great attention of the citizens of Ningbo. According to the plan, in 10 to 15 years, Ningbo's sports facilities will be able to hold comprehensive national games, and the construction and layout of mass sports facilities will reach the advanced level of similar cities in China.

Among them, Ningbo Olympic Sports Center will be located in Hongtang, Jiangbei District, with 130 hectares of land planned. The facilities mainly include 60,000-seat stadium, 10,000-seat stadium, 80,000-seat swimming and diving hall, shooting and archery center, football base and basketball base.
